Beginner mode¶
Beginner mode simulates therapy with multiple daily injections and is designed to offer the simplest and most accessible way to interact with the simulator. It is ideal for those who are new to diabetes management or prefer a straightforward approach. In this mode, users can manually enter the amount of carbohydrates consumed during meals or snacks, and administer both rapid-acting and long-acting (basal) insulin. The interface is intentionally kept simple, showing only the essential options to avoid overwhelming users with advanced settings or calculations.

Meal entry¶
In Beginner mode, you can manually enter carbohydrates and insulin in a simple way, by specifying the amount of grams of carbohydrates and units (U) of insulin. No advanced options are shown.

Carb Correction¶
With the "Carb Correction" menu, you can enter the amount of carbohydrates to treat a low blood glucose (hypoglycemia).

Correction Bolus¶
When blood glucose levels are high (hyperglycemia), users can access the "Correction Bolus" menu to enter an insulin dose aimed at bringing glucose back within the target range.

Basal Insulin¶
The Basal Insulin interface allows users to log the administration of long-acting (basal) insulin. Users can select the specific insulin type, such as Lantus, Levemir, Toujeo, or Tresiba, and indicate the number of units administered. This ensures accurate tracking of daily basal insulin therapy.
